Look back at your life, think about all you have accomplished and done. Then take a step back and see what you haven't done, this life is yours. I'm sure you know that and I also know that you probably haven't done everything you've wanted to do whether it be skydiving, or giving food to the homeless, it could be anything but, every day you should do one thing different. One thing, to help someone or to help yourself.
We have this life and this is the only one we get. No matter your beliefs this is one life, one chance to do it right. There is no one right way to life but, there is one thing we can do to make everyone's life including yours better than before. You could have everything money, cars, but one thing you can never have enough of is joy and love. Some people have absolute nothing but, they have enough love in their hearts to go around.
Once on a winter night there was a rich man walking along the streets. He had everything money could buy, including needy friends. While he walked down the street he saw this extremely poor man making everyone around the fire laughing. They were all happy with nothing, the older man was giving the people around the fire blankets and telling them stories. After the stories were over and it was time to go the older man walked away and smiled at the rich man. Every day the old man did something different whether it be giving out flowers, giving out food, walking dogs, plant a tree, take a jog. With everything he did he would make a way to make everyone smile. Days passed and the rich man sat in his mansion wondering why that old poor man was so happy and where he got the blankets. Surely he has some sort of money or a home. So the rich man followed the poor man to the shelter where he helped give out food, they gave him food and he made all of the children smile and laugh but when he went to his little tent. The old man saw the rich man and approached him. "I've seen you following me? You must have a question?" The rich man looked around and just bluntly came out with it. "How are you so happy when you have nothing?" The old man smiled and looked up at the sky and spread his arms.
"You say i have nothing? Yet I have health, I have joy in my soul and a smile on my face. I have everything I need. You my friend, have nothing. You have no family, no love and no joy. The love and happiness you give to those with truly nothing will give you more than money can buy." While the rich man thought about it he agreed he went home and thought about the old man's words, he thought of what he's done in this world. Who he's helped and who would miss him when he leaves, his success when he went back to check on the old man he heard word that he passed away. People from all over the city mourned over the old man because of his success to make everyone's life.
All it takes is one thing for someone every day, do something to make other's lives better than before they met you.
